Our ecumenical peace and justice group has established the Elkader fair trade gift shop we call, “A Greater Gift”. Our purpose is to support artisans throughout the world, by selling their hand made products for a fair price. These artisans are living in poverty and are working to provide education, health care, and a home for their families.
The products they make range from recycled hand blown glass to toys for children, to jewelry and more. The shop also carries fairly traded organic coffee, tea, chocolate and much more.
By celebrating our diversity as a global community, we can draw strength and hope for a future that will be grounded in peace and justice.
